Today, Turkey has a population of 80 million. This number is going to keep increasing for the next 30 years.
According to the mid-level population projection by United Nations Division of Population (UNDP), Turkey’s population is going to increase to 86.9 million by 2030 and 94.6 million by 2050.
The US Census Bureau’s estimation for Turkey’s population in 2050 is 100.9 million. If “demography is a country’s destiny” as the father of sociology, Auguste Comte, puts it, Turkey is to be among the developing and growing countries for many more years.
